Job summary
SAIC in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a Navy enterprise transport network. The role requires 7AM–3PM, 5 days per week with weekends and a rotating on-call schedule, and up to 25% travel. You will perform Tier 3 engineering, configure and maintain Windows/Linux systems, AD, DNS, and virtualization, and ensure 24/7/365 availability while adhering to security requirements. A Secret clearance is required and bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience is expected.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in CS or related field with 5+ years of enterprise network infrastructure experience.
IAT Level II certification required (Security+ and OS Certification)
Secret Clearance required.
Responsibilities
Provide Tier 3 level engineering operations support to quickly identify outages and implement resolutions.
Monitor network infrastructure and ensure performance across multiple exchange points.
Perform maintenance, updates, deployments, and configuration corrections.
Maintain failover, disaster recovery, and change management processes.
Operate asset and configuration management and incident handling.
