Job summary

SAIC in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a Navy enterprise transport network. The role requires 7AM–3PM, 5 days per week with weekends and a rotating on-call schedule, and up to 25% travel. You will perform Tier 3 engineering, configure and maintain Windows/Linux systems, AD, DNS, and virtualization, and ensure 24/7/365 availability while adhering to security requirements. A Secret clearance is required and bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS or related field with 5+ years of enterprise network infrastructure experience.
• IAT Level II certification required (Security+ and OS Certification)
• Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 level engineering operations support to quickly identify outages and implement resolutions.
• Monitor network infrastructure and ensure performance across multiple exchange points.
• Perform maintenance, updates, deployments, and configuration corrections.
• Maintain failover, disaster recovery, and change management processes.
• Operate asset and configuration management and incident handling.
