Job summary

Towncare Dental is seeking a Traveling Surgical Dental Assistant to support our Dental Center of Kendall and sister offices in Homestead, Kendall, and Miami Beach. You must be X-ray certified in Florida and have hands-on dental assisting experience.

A $500 sign-on bonus and mileage reimbursement are offered to support a travel-friendly schedule. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, radiography, patient education, and assisting dentists in a 4-handed setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience.
• X-ray certification required in Florida.
• Nitrous oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel; travel reimbursement included.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Assist dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies with CPR certification and emergency supplies.
