Our Civil Group is looking to add an experienced Traveling Superintendent to their team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all field crew members including foremen, carpenters, laborers, and project operations.
• Develop a project site logistics plan and work with the project manager to determine method and sequencing of construction. Plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Communicate and promote a safe working environment and company safety standards, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Read plans and have a strong knowledge of various DOT specifications and standards.
• Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
• Schedule subcontractors in accordance with the required work schedule, pump trucks and material deliveries; inspect and verify the receipt or shipment of materials.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience with large-scale civil construction project operations required.
• Strong knowledge of dirt work, concrete foundation, caissons, and/or vertical drilling.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Heavy Job.
• GPS knowledge.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and the project schedule.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• OSHA 30-hour Card, preferred.
