Job summary

A national general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities for large box retail and industrial storage projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience in commercial construction and a strong background in interior build-outs. This position requires extensive travel, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to high-quality standards. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential. Construction management software experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Experience with large box retail and industrial storage facilities required.
• Strong background in interior construction and tenant build-outs.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and maintain schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all field operations from project start through close-out.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Ensure all work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
