Job summary

The Austin Company is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead construction activities on multi-million dollar projects. You will oversee daily field operations, ensure compliance with design documents, and manage subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in field operations, experience in Life Science projects, and a strong background in scheduling tools. The role emphasizes safety leadership and cross-team collaboration on large-scale builds.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction field operations experience and/or skilled trades leadership.
• 5 years in the Life Science market sector.
• A 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
• Experience in Scheduling, P6, MS Project, and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-field operations for projects of varying size and scope.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure safe means and methods on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and crews to optimize cost and schedule.
• Ensure work complies with contract documents, schedules, and budget constraints.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and coordinate with internal teams on project status.
• Prepare and deliver daily progress reports and field documentation.
• Assist departments with reports for Region/Division management and client updates.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management

4-year degree is a plus (Engineering/Construction related)
