Job summary

Talently is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead hotel renovation projects nationwide. You will oversee field operations, supervise subcontractors, and ensure schedules, safety, and quality meet brand standards while coordinating with hotel management to minimize guest disruption.

The role requires reading drawings and specs, strong leadership, and the ability to travel up to 100%. You will report daily on progress, risks, and safety observations and drive project closeout with quality

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years as a Superintendent on commercial/hotel construction projects.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specs, RFIs, and submittals.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and on-site safety practices.
• Proven leadership, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the United States, up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met on time.
• Lead daily site meetings and communicate progress, risks, and priorities.
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies.
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets plans and brand standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals, resolving field issues promptly.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Build positive relationships with hotel management to minimize disruption to guests.
• Prepare accurate daily reports covering manpower, progress, weather, delays, and safety observations.

Must-Have Skills:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial/Hotels construction.
• Experience with construction sequencing, scheduling, and managing multiple subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and job-site safety practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States, up to 100%.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air and automobile.
• Ability to walk construction sites, climb ladders and stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Successful completion of a required background check.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hospitality renovation experience, particularly in occupied hotels.
• Experience working with major hotel brands and brand-specific standards.
• Proficiency with Procore project management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience coordinating owner training, warranty documentation, final inspections, and project turnover.
• Strong understanding of minimizing disruption to hotel guests and ongoing operations.
