Job summary

River City Building Group seeks an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead correctional, civic, and government construction projects across multiple markets. The role emphasizes working in secure, occupied facilities and coordinating complex phasing and stakeholder requirements.

Candidates should have proven superintendent experience in commercial construction, strong scheduling, safety, and quality control. Travel is a must, bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project priorities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, OSHA-compliant jobsite.
• Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities.
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, and construction sequencing.
• Monitor progress and support schedule adherence.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
• Maintain daily reports and project documentation.
• Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and punch list activities.
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively.
• Serve as the primary field contact for owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Safety personnel.
• Lead field coordination meetings and maintain positive project relationships.
