Job summary

PerimeterSecurityPartners seeks a motivated traveling Installation Superintendent with strong construction experience to install active vehicle barriers, security fencing, gates, bollards, and related equipment at access control points across the United States.

The role directs a 2–4 person crew, coordinates with the General Superintendent and project teams, and ensures timely, high-quality work while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years experience as construction supervisor/foreman or superintendent.
• 5+ years experience with excavation, reinforced concrete, or industrial fencing installation.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and installation details.
• Valid REAL ID driver’s license.
• US work authorization (no sponsorship).
• Must pass background check and drug test for access to military installations.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (mini-excavator, backhoe, loader, skid steer, forklift, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise, train, monitor attendance, and assign tasks to install crew and keep projects on schedule.
• Oversee safety procedures, equipment operation, and work methods on site.
• Coordinate with PSP’s General Superintendent, Project Managers, client representatives and other personnel.
• Create 3-week look-ahead schedules and deliver weekly updates to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with design/contract documents and safety criteria across all activities.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks addressing safety topics and PPE usage.
• Record and report safety incidents and accidents.
• Read, interpret, and verify project drawings, specifications, and layouts.
• Develop material/equipment lists and workload estimates for new installations.
• Maintain and inspect construction equipment; keep the site clean and safe.
• Provide daily reports on equipment condition, work performed, and upcoming plans.
• Assist Project Manager with communications to vendors and customers.
• Prepare organized daily electronic documentation including receipts, punch lists, and AS-Builts.
