Job summary

Weis Builders is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead construction projects from start to finish across multiple sites. You will ensure timely delivery, stay within budget, and maintain high quality while coordinating clients, architects, and subcontractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, and at least 3 years of supervision experience on residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

  • Minimum 3 years of construction management or supervision experience.
  • Experience delivering residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.

  • Cultivate connections with clients, architects and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day on-site activities for multiple projects, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow.
  • Develop and implement project timelines, ensuring key milestones are met on time.
  • Cultivate strong connections with clients, architects, and vendors, driving future business and supporting Weis Builders' continuous growth.
  • Supervise and direct on-site personnel and subcontractors, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
  • Enforce safety protocols, conduct training sessions, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, working closely with project managers to mitigate financial risks.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing regular project updates and addressing any challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related construction field.
  • Minimum 3 years of construction management or supervision experience, preferably in multifamily projects.
  • A track record of managing residential, commercial, or industrial projects to successful completion.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Experience with construction management software and MS Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred).
Travel Requirements and Work Location:

This is a traveling position requiring flexibility to work at project locations throughout the United States. Assignments are based on business needs, may change over time, and may require relocation for the duration of a project.

Current and anticipated project locations include Hyattsville, Maryland; San Antonio, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Santa Fe, New Mexico; Denver, Colorado; and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Project assignments typically last one to two years, depending on project schedules and business needs. Additional locations may be assigned as needs evolve.
