Job summary

Weis Builders in Denver is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Project Superintendent and Project Manager on-site and in the office. You will assist with take-offs, permits, schedules, and coordination with clients, vendors, and architects to maintain project continuity.

You’ll lead safety meetings, monitor safety logs, and help ensure quality and compliance across activities. This role offers growth in construction management with exposure to estimating and field operations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related construction field.
  • Experience with construction management software such as Excel, CMiC, Procore, or other similar tools.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build rapport with others.
  • Positive attitude and client-focused mindset with awareness of client needs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining flexibility.
  • Strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and ability to overcome challenges.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with various project duties such as material take-offs, obtaining permits, preparing labor reports, and creating 2-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, architects, and vendors to support project continuity and growth.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by leading safety meetings, maintaining safety logs, and addressing safety concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team to resolve specific project issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, material deliveries, and equipment as needed.
  • Apply Quality Control best practices to meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Complete all required paperwork professionally and promptly.
  • Support cost control efforts by tracking labor hours and maintaining accurate purchase order logs.
  • Gain knowledge of building codes and ensure compliance across project activities.
