Job summary

CyberCoders, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee multiple construction projects across regions, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This hands‑on role requires a construction leader who can mobilize to project sites in sectors including medical, commercial, light industrial, veterinary, K12 and higher education. The Traveling Superintendent will coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety and quality programs,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of superintendent or senior field leadership experience on commercial and light industrial construction projects; experience with medical, veterinary, K12 or higher education facilities strongly preferred.
• Proven experience as traveling superintendent or managing multiple geographically dispersed projects with frequent travel.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, plans and specifications, building codes and quality control practices.
• Strong safety background with OSHA knowledge and demonstrated ability to enforce site safety programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with owners, design teams, subcontractors and facility stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and supervise multiple active construction sites, setting daily priorities and ensuring progress across projects.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, craft labor, vendors and site inspections to meet scope, schedule and quality requirements.
• Implement and enforce safety programs and site safety plans; conduct toolbox talks and site safety audits.
• Review plans, specifications and submittals; verify field conditions, resolve RFIs and coordinate changes with project managers and designers.
• Maintain daily reports, logs and schedules; communicate status updates to project team and stakeholders.
• Conduct on-site quality control and assurance inspections to ensure workmanship and codes are met.
• Lead pre-construction and milestone meetings; coordinate with owners, facility staff and third-party inspectors.
• Manage site logistics to minimize disruption to occupied facilities and operations.
• Mentor on-site foremen and field personnel; develop capabilities and consistent practices.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and turnover documentation.

Requirements:

5+ years of Ground Up Commercial, light industrial, medical and/or education construction as a Superintendent.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee multiple construction projects across regions, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This hands‑on role requires a construction leader who can mobilize to project sites in sectors including medical, commercial, light industrial, veterinary, K12 and higher education. The Traveling Superintendent will coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety and quality programs, interface with owners and design teams, and drive daily construction activities while maintaining strong communication with the home office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to and supervise multiple active construction sites, setting daily priorities and ensuring consistent progress across projects.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, craft labor, vendors and site inspections to meet contractual scope, schedule and quality requirements.
• Implement and enforce safety programs and site‑specific safety plans; conduct toolbox talks and site safety audits.
• Review plans, specifications and submittals; verify field conditions, resolve RFIs and coordinate changes with project managers and designers.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, schedules, manpower and material tracking; communicate status updates to the project team and stakeholders.
• Conduct on‑site quality control and assurance inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet project standards and codes.
• Facilitate pre‑construction and milestone meetings, lead coordination with owners, facility staff (including K12, higher education, medical and veterinary clients) and third‑party inspectors.
• Manage site logistics including access, deliveries, laydown areas and temporary utilities to minimize disruption to occupied facilities and operations.
• Mentor and supervise on‑site foremen and field personnel to develop capabilities and maintain consistent construction practices.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists, final inspections, turnover documentation and as‑built record collection.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of superintendent or senior field leadership experience on commercial and light industrial construction projects; experience with medical, veterinary, K12 or higher education facilities strongly preferred.
• Proven experience as a traveling superintendent or managing multiple geographically dispersed projects with frequent travel.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, plans and specifications, building codes and quality control practices.
• Strong safety background with OSHA knowledge and demonstrated ability to enforce site safety programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with owners, design teams, subcontractors and facility stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, coordinate submittals and manage RFIs and change documentation.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, schedule management and ability to work under pressure to meet milestones.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel frequently; ability to work extended hours on site as project needs dictate.
• Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools and basic office software (MS Office).
• Relevant certifications a plus: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or similar; trade or technical school background in construction or related field preferred.
