This role involves frequent travel to support renewable energy, infrastructure, and mission critical projects.Renewable energy and infrastructure projects are large‐scale developments that generate electricity and move it across long distances. These are utility‐scale projects that require engineering, construction, and grid‐integration work to expand and strengthen the energy system.Mission critical projects are land‐intensive developments that create unique geotechnical challenges, such as major grade changes, heavily loaded structures, complex below‐grade utility and duct bank networks, and fast‐paced construction schedules. Their speed and complexity demand close oversight to quickly identify and resolve issues, reduce risk for all stakeholders, and provide the technical expertise needed to exceed client expectations.**Responsibilities*** Perform oversight of other field personnel on remote job sites.* Perform various field testing and observations at remote job sites.* Assist field operations on remote projects with technician training and review.* Closely coordinate field observations with engineering project lead.* Develop scopes of work and prepare proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects, primarily in the power and renewables or mission critical field.* Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.* Review field logs and soil samples for classification and boring log preparation.* Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies.* Prepares engineering reports for senior review.* Manage routine to complex geotechnical engineering projects including project scope, schedule, budget, and safety.* Work independently on specific assignments of limited scope with Senior review.* Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify, investigate, and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects.* Coordinate with regional operations to effectively coordinate staff, resources, and workloads.* Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.* Support client relationships to effectively achieve power, renewables, and mission critical market-sector goals and strategies.* Must be action oriented, able to effectively/efficiently manage time, and able to learn quickly.**Required Skills*** Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Possess strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.* Strong organization and customer service skills.* Ability to exceed client expectations while thriving in a time critical / dynamic work environment.* Ability to work both independently and as a team member.* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint.* Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets**Required Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering field required.* Two or more years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience preferred, but not required.* Previous experience with large-scale construction projects preferred.* Must have a valid driver's license.* Expected travel is 60 to 90%.Braun Intertec offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, PTO, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), paid holidays, paid volunteer day, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for professional growth and development.#LI-JM1Compensation Range:$50,000.00 - $74,000.00*As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.**Braun Intertec strives to ensure that its careers web site is accessible to all.
