National Heritage Academies is seeking a traveling Speech-Language Pathologist to support students across multiple schools in the Detroit area. The SLP collaborates with special education staff, classroom teachers, and related service providers to ensure timely assessments and effective intervention.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-ASHA) required.
• Experience working with at-risk student populations in school or pediatric settings preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with special education and general education staff to support students’ communication needs.
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and contribute to assessment planning within the IEP process.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language goals aligned with each student’s IEP.
• Provide specially designed instruction through multiple service delivery models and maintain required documentation.
