Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager I, Commissioning for a traveling, field-based role. You will oversee commissioning activities, train staff, and coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to ensure systems meet specifications.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years in commissioning or project management for construction, with experience in setting up CxAlloy databases and developing commissioning plans. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Must have general knowledge of all building trades and a specific knowledge of either the mechanical, piping or electrical trades.
• Experience as the lead project manager or commissioning manager of a construction project is required; degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred.
• Must have experience managing all disciplines for commissioning projects.
• Must have assisted in and maintained written commissioning plans on at least two projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Commissioning Specialist and APM Commissioning staff and provide training for career advancement.
• Review Subcontractor Exhibit A scope of work for commissioning to ensure adequate scope.
• Develop commissioning plans and training materials for site teams and subcontractors.
• Develop and manage the commissioning database, setup checklists, and control data imports.
• Lead on-site commissioning meetings and coordinate with site team and subcontractors.
• Be on site for equipment verification during delivery and inspect for damage.
