Job summary

Robinson Construction is seeking a Traveling Sheet Metal Carpenter to construct, install, and repair structural components on commercial and heavy industrial projects. You will perform rough and finish carpentry duties, including framing, sheathing, roofing, interior build-outs, and architectural finishes.

You must read blueprints, coordinate with Foreman, measure materials, cut and fit lumber and sheet metal, and ensure work meets quality standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction methods.
• Ability to visualize layouts from plans and prints and use tools safely.
• Ability to work in teams or independently with supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to fully grasp project requirements.
• Coordinate with Foreman to configure layout, elevations, and dimensions.
• Assemble and secure forms, wood structures, sheet metal, and other materials.
• Construct walls, floors, roofs, and framing systems.
• Install exterior walls, siding, insulation, and weather barriers.
• Install doors, frames, windows, and finishes; build form systems for concrete.
• Take measurements, cut, shape, and fit lumber and other materials.
• Finish concrete work and ensure it meets quality standards and safety rules.
