Traveling Senior Safety Specialist- Aviation

Join JE Dunn Construction as a Traveling Senior Safety Specialist- Aviation.

Role Summary: The Senior Safety Specialist will coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine and complex construction projects, including conducting safety inspections, identifying hazardous conditions, and performing trend analysis, all in support of JE Dunn's strategy and values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and implement the field safety program for construction projects.
2. Conduct safety inspections and audits, document findings, and recommend abatement measures.
3. Oversee safety orientation, drug/alcohol policies, and monitor subcontractor safety programs.
4. Participate in project meetings and support safety leadership in safety activities.
5. Assist in accident investigations and coordinate injury management and reporting.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Safety Specialist:

1. Identify complex safety hazards and provide abatements solutions.
2. Utilize safety management systems for trend analysis and reporting.
3. Provide safety training and guidance to teams.
4. Manage more complex projects and oversee safety programs.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, testing protocols, and safety software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.

• Valid driver’s license.
