Job summary

McClatchy Media Company in Cary, NC is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to service products across multiple stores. The role is on-site and involves travel between accounts; up to 100% travel may be required, with a standard weekday schedule.

You will work under the Supervisor of Merchandising, perform 100% merchandising duties, stock shelves, and follow planograms. Excellent communication, reliability, and a professional demeanor are essential; familiarity with Movista or similar apps is a plus.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Adherence to the company’s attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Have personal cell phone and mobile device, such as a tablet.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying store and/or corporate standards.
• Safely replenish product and stock shelves per planograms.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours; obtain approval for overtime.
• Record work hours and other information using designated applications.
• Communicate with store personnel and Supervisor when duties change.
