Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a traveling Service Technician to repair, service, and support industrial refrigeration equipment for food and beverage and cold storage clients across North America.

You will diagnose electrical and control issues on ammonia and Freon systems, perform routine and emergency maintenance, and ensure safety compliance. Requires 5+ years’ experience, EPA certification, and willingness to travel on a 10‑day tour schedule, 50–60 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant refrigeration experience in industrial settings.
• Knowledge of controls and electric (high/low voltage).
• EPA universal certification required.
• Motor alignment experience.
• RETA 1&2 certification preferred.
• Tobacco-free workplace; no tobacco on jobsite during workday.
• Pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and motor vehicle record screening.
• This is a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment and regular drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Refrigeration repair and maintenance support to industrial accounts from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment.
• Use knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical troubleshooting and control/alarm systems to inspect and maintain.
• Demonstrate adherence to all safety policies, procedures and governing requirements.
