Job summary

West Coast Dental Services is hiring a Registered Dental Assistant in California to support clinicians, educate patients, and maintain sterile, organized operatories. The role requires current RDA licensure, X-ray credentials, CPR/First-Aid certification, and 1 year of RDA experience preferred.

The RDA will work under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist, perform prescribed procedures, manage patient charts, and ensure strict adherence to universal precautions and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Dental Assistant license and RDA certification required.
• Current X-Ray License required.
• CPR and First-Aid certification required.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience as an RDA preferred.
• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral hygiene education to patient and family.
• Perform authorized procedures under direct supervision of licensed dentist.
• Document patient care activities in chart.
• Take x-rays as prescribed by doctor.
• Prepare operatories and trays for procedures.
• Stock and clean operatories; maintain equipment and inventory.
• Escort patients to front office and explain next visit details.
• Ensure infection control standards are followed.
