Qualifikationen

• Valid California Registered Dental Assistant license and RDA certification
• Current X-Ray License
• CPR and First-Aid certification required
• Minimum of one year of recent experience as a Registered Dental Assistant preferred
• Bilingual: English & Spanish required
• Ability to obtain an NPI
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with people of all ages (Children)
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Aufgaben

• Provide oral hygiene education to patient and family
• Perform authorized procedures under direct supervision of a licensed dentist
• Document patient care activities in the chart as directed
• Take x-rays as prescribed by the doctor
• Prepare operatories and trays for procedures
• Ensure operatories are stocked and cleaned at all times
• Explain treatment plans to patients as needed
• Escort patients to front office after treatment and inform receptionist of next visit
• Follow infection control standards and proper waste disposal
• Assist Floor Supervisor in ordering supplies and instruments
• Review Hazard Communication and ensure proper labeling
• Maintain equipment and report problems to supervisor
• Work schedule is variable including evenings and weekends
