Job summary

Middlesex Corp. is seeking a Traveling Rail Laborer to support heavy civil and rail projects at multiple locations. This role requires extensive travel and hands‑on construction work, including site prep, material handling, excavation, and rail‑related tasks with a strong safety focus.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in heavy/civil construction, rail experience, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts. Travel and physical effort are integral to this position.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Heavy/Civil Construction experience preferred.
• Rail construction or track experience strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations.
• Ability to work varying schedules, nights and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety policies and report incidents to ensure safety-first work culture.
• Travel to and work at various project locations based on needs.
• Perform general labor duties to support rail and heavy civil construction.
• Prepare sites, load/unload materials, and manage tools and equipment.
• Assist with installation, positioning, alignment, and removal of materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and communicate with supervisors and crew.
