The Weitz Company is hiring a Project Safety Manager to join our Industrial team. This traveling role begins with the Beaumont, TX project and will support additional assignments across sites.

The Project Safety Manager provides site safety leadership, implements company safety standards, conducts training, supports preconstruction planning, and performs jobsite audits and incident investigations for project-wide safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the project safety plan and oversee its execution.
• Track and trend safety performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify adherence to safety management processes across the project team.
• Draft letters, issue safety violations, and coordinate with managers as needed.
• Facilitate project safety committees and preconstruction safety planning.
• Conduct project-wide safety training and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Empower employees to stop work if unsafe and drive incident investigations.
