Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Safety Manager to join our Industrial team. This traveling role will start with Beaumont, TX as the first assignment. You will lead safety on site, implement company safety standards, deliver project-wide training, and support preconstruction safety planning.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in construction safety and OSHA 30 is preferred. Strong judgment, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for fostering a safety-first culture across

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Participate in creating the project safety plan
• Track and trend safety performance and recommend corrective actions
• Verify adherence to safety management processes
• Assist teams with enforcement of safety programs
• Facilitate safety committees and preconstruction meetings
• Conduct or lead project-wide safety training
• Support regulatory safety compliance on site
• Coordinate safety inspections and corrective actions
• Ensure authority to stop unsafe work
• Document incident investigations and root causes
• Maintain site safety documentation (permits, inspections)
• Perform industrial hygiene assessments (noise, air)
• Communicate regularly with the Project Manager
• Participate in OSHA inspections and safety audits
• Encourage safety-minded thinking across the project
