Job Summary

The Low Voltage Project Manager is responsible for leading assigned projects from initiation through completion. They ensure that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the company’s safety, quality, management, and financial performance requirements. The role focuses on efficient staffing, materials and financial management, and customer care to achieve delivery goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise security systems project staff.
  • Manage human resource issues in accordance with company policies and provide performance recommendations, promotions, and pay changes.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to staff to achieve customer and company objectives.
  • Distribute workload and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
  • Plan, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability to meet company goals.
  • Review job cost postings for accuracy, prepare invoices, collect payments, and produce periodic financial reports to customers and management.
  • Oversee quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
  • Act as the company liaison for interfacing with customer representatives.
  • Create, develop, and implement account process improvements.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project) and company project management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to define a project scope, develop detailed tasks, and manage projects to final completion and customer turnover.
  • Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and meeting company minimum driving standards.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Self‑motivated, positive professional attitude with leadership ability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation and using trade tools (e.g., punch tools, crimp tools, voltage continuity testers).
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time outside Charlotte, NC, within the branch or regional territory as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment.
