Job Description

Turner & Townsendare engaged to support our clients with many complex projects, responsible for all aspects of program and project management throughout the US region as well around the world. As such, we are seeking an experiencedProject Managerwho will act as the day-to-day interface with our high-profile commercial hotel client and be responsible for projects of multiple sizes and scales, driving them from inception through turnover.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Senior Project Manager with the development and management of the project(s) strategic plans and program initiatives to meet the goals and needs of the Owner.
  • Lead the design, engineering and construction team through planning, design, pre-construction and construction activities.
  • Initiate and lead the procurement of design, construction and consultant services.
  • Serve as liaison between client and design/construction professionals.
  • Oversee and review the development of architectural and engineering constructiondrawings and bid documents.
  • Lead value engineering sessions as necessary to reduce cost.
  • Develop, monitor and update the master project budget and schedule.
  • Provide analysis of budgets and schedules and their effect on the financial objectivesand schedule of the project.
  • Assist client in scheduling, coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendorsand consultants.
  • Meet with clients, city officials, architects, engineers, contractors and consultants as required to present the project status and anticipate issues.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of project controls, projectmanagement, construction documentation and sequencing.
  • Assist with all aspects of the project, including the budget, schedule, operational needs,procedures, client standards, QA/QC program requirements, as well as individualroles and responsibilities.
  • Attend owner, architect and contractor meetings, taking the meeting notes andmanaging the follow-up action items.
  • Establish and oversee project close out documentation and processes through tocompletion.
  • Negotiate, resolve and close out any outstanding change orders, quality issues ordisputes.
  • Process and track any final invoices, payment applications, retention payments, etc.
  • Prepare and submit final project accounting and budget.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
  • Ability to travel 100%of the time is required to various project sites throughout North America. Must be able to pick up and travel at a moment's notice.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or field related to construction.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant commercial real estate construction experience as an Assistant Project Manager or a Project Manager.
  • Hotel construction experience is required.
  • Consulting/ Owner’s Rep experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and management skills – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, and construction project management tools.
  • Ability to travel 100%of the time is required to various project sites throughout North America. Must be able to pick up and travel at a moment's notice.
Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $85K-$105Kper year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
