Job summary

Quantum Industrial is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to lead industrial mechanical construction projects across multiple states. You will drive planning, budgeting, safety, and client relations on data center, semiconductor, and large-scale facilities, with frequent travel.

This role rewards seasoned PMs who enjoy variety, travel, and building a career across markets. Requires 5+ years of experience, OSHA 30, and ability to read drawings; Procore/MS Project/Primavera experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of PM experience in industrial mechanical construction.
  • Experience managing large-scale or complex projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; PMP is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Travel across multiple states.

Responsibilities

  • Lead industrial mechanical projects from planning to completion.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, manpower, and resources.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field leadership.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, productivity, quality, and schedule.
  • Manage contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions.
  • Ensure projects meet company, client, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Conduct project closeout and lessons-learned reviews.

About the Role

The Traveling Project Manager is responsible for leading industrial mechanical construction projects across multiple states, from planning and preconstruction through final completion. This role manages project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client relationships while coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and leadership.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in industrial mechanical construction.
  • Experience managing large-scale or complex mechanical projects preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification required , PMP certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of project budgets, cost control, scheduling, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar project management software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work on projects across multiple states.
