Traveling Project Engineer - Conveyor Systems

Job Description

Globally recognized eCommerce company based in Seattle, WA, is currently hiring for a Traveling Conveyor System Project Engineer. These Engineers are responsible for the completion of the project/program, overseeing all aspects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress. They also prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project/program.

The Project Engineer will primarily travel to various warehouse facilities to support retrofitting or replacing old conveyor belt systems. They will not perform hands-on work but serve as the main point of contact and project manager, coordinating with vendors for these replacements and installations.

Pay and Contract Details

• Pay: $65/hr (final pay, non-negotiable)
• Contract Duration: 5 months starting immediately
• Location: NC, DC, MD, VA, NJ, or NYC (local candidates preferred)
• Travel Requirement: 80%-100% (travel compensated)

Responsibilities

• Travel to warehouse facilities to retrofit/update conveyor belts focusing on automation and MHE equipment.
• Partner with vendors and manage projects using engineering knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in engineering and project management.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Engineering).
• Comfortable traveling 80%-100%.
• Experience with automation and conveyor systems.
• Experience working with third-party vendors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, employee assistance, and PTO.
