Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer in Lubbock, TX to bridge field operations and project management on large construction projects. You will coordinate RFIs, submittals, budgets, and schedules, supporting timely completion and smooth closeout.

The role requires a 2-3 year Project Engineer background in commercial construction, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Procore and Building Connected, along with strong organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and PM fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Procore and Building Connected.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work 60+ hours per week and travel on rotation.

Job Description

The Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale, mission-critical construction projects. This position serves as the vital link between field operations and project management, ensuring smooth coordination and execution.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project management fundamentals.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Building Connected.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Work Environment

The work environment involves a strong team and support structure, offering opportunities for career progression, particularly into a Project Manager role. Typical work expectations include 60+ hours per week with travel rotations of either 10 days on with 4 days off or 11 days on with 3 days off. During these rotations, work is typically conducted 6 days per week with occasional weekends, roughly once per month or every 6 weeks.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $140000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
