Job summary

Knight Electric, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Journeyman - Retail Distribution Systems Technician for nationwide travel across the United States. The position focuses on installation and service of control systems, power distribution, and switchgear, with mentoring of apprentices.

A state Journeyman license and extensive electrical experience are required. Travel-heavy role offering full benefits, per diem, and housing support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8,000+ verifiable hours worked in the electrical trade.
• Current State Electrical Journeyman license.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory, NEC and local codes.
• Ability to travel by car and plane, with overnight travel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Advanced knowledge of hand tools, testing equipment, and other commonly used trade equipment.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Install and connect control systems and power distribution equipment.
• Connect branch circuits, feeders, and controls.
• Diagnose, repair and resolve circuit and equipment issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Perform layout for overhead and in-wall rough-in.
• Generate complete materials lists for scopes of work.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and circuit continuity.
• Maintain safe work practices and quality control.
