Job summary

Knight Electric, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Journeyman - Retail Distribution Systems Technician to perform electrical installation and service tasks, read blueprints, and mentor apprentices. This traveling role covers projects nationwide with housing and per diem provided.

You will install control systems, switchgear, panels, and conduct tests with multi-meters, ensuring code compliance and safety. A high school diploma, 8,000+ hours, current Journeyman license, and ability to travel are

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires 8,000+ verifiable hours in the electrical trade.
• Current State Electrical Journeyman license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel by car and plane with overnight travel.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and specs.
• Mathematical calculation ability.
• Advanced knowledge of hand tools and testing equipment.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Install and connect control systems and power distribution equipment.
• Connect branch circuits, feeders, and controls.
• Diagnose, repair, and resolve problems using testing instruments and diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Perform layout for overhead and in-wall rough-in.
• Generate materials lists for scopes of work.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and circuit continuity.
• Maintain safety and quality through processes and procedures.
• Assist team and inspect jobs upon completion for quality.
