Job summary

Quantum Industrial Services seeks a Traveling Plumbing Journeyman to install, test, and maintain plumbing systems on large-scale industrial projects across multiple states.

You’ll work with foremen and project teams, read drawings, and travel with per diem support, competitive pay, and opportunities for career growth. The role requires strong safety practices and willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

3+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience
OSHA 10 certification required
Journeyman or Master Plumber license where required by state/local regulations
Ability to read plumbing drawings, schematics, and specifications

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial plumbing systems
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layouts
Install piping, fittings, water supply, gas, drainage, and related systems
Prepare and install materials according to project requirements
Perform pressure, hydrostatic, and leak testing
Coordinate with Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades
Maintain quality standards and ensure installations meet project specifications and applicable codes
Follow OSHA and company safety requirements, including proper PPE
Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas
Document completed work, testing, inspections, and material usage
Assist with training and mentoring less-experienced plumbers

About The Role

The Traveling Plumbing Journeyman installs, tests, and maintains plumbing systems on large-scale industrial and mechanical construction projects across multiple states. You’ll work alongside Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.

What You’ll Do

Install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial plumbing systems

What You'll Bring

3+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
OSHA 10 certification required
Journeyman or Master Plumber license where required by state or local regulations
Ability to read plumbing drawings, schematics, and specifications
Knowledge of copper, PVC, PEX, cast iron, and other piping systems
Experience with hydrostatic and pneumatic testing
Welding, brazing, soldering, or pipe threading experience is a plus
Strong understanding of safety, quality, and jobsite procedures
Ability and willingness to travel extensively
