Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Pipe Welder to support large-scale mechanical construction projects across North America. The role requires welding and pipe fitting expertise, extensive travel, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The position operates on a 10-day tour schedule with 50–60 hour weeks and pays $30–$48 per hour. Strong test performance and driving ability are essential for success in this dynamic, in-house engineering/ construction company.

Qualifications

• Proven welding skills and ability to read weld procedures.
• Experience with pipe fitting and piping systems preferred.
• Must pass 6G weld test prior to employment.
• Ability to travel extensively and work 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe 3/4 to 18 in diameter, commonly 2–6 in.
• Welds on compressors, vessels, evaporators, condensers, assemblies.
• Cut, bevel, fit, and open root welds without inserts.
• Complete up to 50 diameter inches of weld daily.
• Operate grinders, wire wheels, torches, and rigging tools.
• Assist insulation, electrical, and painting tasks.
