Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. seeks a Traveling Pipe Welder to support large-scale mechanical construction projects. You will weld and fit pipe, operate related equipment, and assist other trades on site while adhering to safety standards. Expect extensive travel on a 10‑day tour schedule and 50–60 hour weeks.

The role requires 5+ years of welding/pipe fitting experience, a 6G weld test, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have welding and pipe fitting experience in large-scale mechanical construction.
• 5+ years of experience required.
• Must pass 6G weld test prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe ranging from 3/4" to 18" diameter.
• Perform welds on compressors, vessels, evaporators, condensers, and pre-fabricated assemblies.
• Execute pipe cutting, beveling, fitting, and open root welding without inserts.
• Complete up to 50 diameter inches of weld daily.
• Operate grinders, wire wheels, torches, and rigging tools.
• Assist with insulation, electrical, and painting on site.
• Follow welding procedures and maintain a safe jobsite environment.
