Job summary

Life Line Screening is seeking skilled Phlebotomists/Medical Assistants to join its community healthcare team. You will perform venipuncture and related screenings in a mobile, day-to-day setting across locations, with emphasis on accuracy, patient care, and safety.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of venipuncture experience and willingness to cross-train as a Medical Assistant, ensuring seamless operations and quality sample handling.

Qualifications

• Extensive work experience with customer-facing Medical Assistant and phlebotomy duties.
• Precision phlebotomy skills with a minimum of 1 year of experience with adult venipuncture.
• Experienced with centrifuge and separating serum and plasma specimens into transport tubes using transfer devices.
• Skilled in inpatient or outpatient draw experience (hospital, nursing home, doctor’s office traveling phlebotomist, or draw center, etc.).
• Desire to provide unparalleled customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
• Strength in teamwork & collaboration; sharing responsibilities driving the company van, loading, and unloading equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Certification in phlebotomy from either the ASCP, NPA, NHA or AMT is preferred

Responsibilities

• Cross train and participate in allcore Medical Assistant duties including Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, Registration and Laboratory screening areas
• Review participant records for accuracy and completeness
• Conduct Venipuncture and finger-sticks, where scheduled
• Monitor patients for reactions as well as ensure the quality of the sample
• Ensure patient confidentiality and comfortability while meeting customer service expectations throughout entire process
• Oversee and ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between patients
• Properly package and ship specimens to central lab on a daily basis, where applicable
