Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications. The role requires travel between community pharmacy sites, with 40 hours per week on a 1st shift schedule ranging from 7am to 11am, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include medication preparation, labeling, distribution, inventory control, and patient data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as CPhT or ExCPT within 18 months from start date.
• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route as needed; maintain telephone etiquette.
• Document medication admissions, stock, and waste as applicable.
• Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards; sterile IV admixture as applicable.
• Ensure proper storage and safety compliance across medication areas.
• Assist in training technicians and extenders as needed.
