Job summary

The Kroger Co. is hiring a pharmacist to support Customer 1st initiatives, ensuring a safe, clean store environment and assisting the department manager in reaching sales and quality goals.

The role requires an active pharmacist license, a US degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy, NAPLEX passage, and the ability to work at multiple locations with travel as needed. The pharmacist will counsel patients, process prescriptions, manage immunizations, and maintain accurate RX records.

Qualifications

• Possess a current Pharmacist license in the state where employment is sought.
• Graduate of a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency exam.
• Successfully passed the NAPLEX exam.
• Ability to work at various locations.
• Ability to travel independently.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Communicate effectively with customers and store personnel.
• Provide drug counseling with customers and prescribers.
• Receive verbal RX orders and accurately write them down in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Fill, label, and bag prescription orders accurately.
• Maintain accurate records, including insurance, and deliver RX to customers.
• Demonstrate proficiency with RX computer systems.
• Promote immunizations and engage in clinical activities as trained.
• Oversee inventory and supervise associates as needed.
• Ensure compliance with controlled substances record-keeping.
