Florida Dental Centers – Pinellas Park is seeking an experienced Traveling Periodontic Dental Assistant to support our clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care and satisfaction in a team-oriented environment.

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Ensure infection control, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including scheduling and intake (if needed).
  • Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and contact information.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or
  • Minimum one year of on-the-job experience

and

  • X-Ray certification in FL
  • Nitrous Oxide certification (highly recommended)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel to other Florida Dental Center offices (travel reimbursement included)

Dental Assistants must also maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
