Overview

Florida Dental Centers - Pinellas Park is seeking an experienced Traveling Periodontic Dental Assistant to support our clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care and satisfaction within a team-based environment.

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:30AM - 12:30PM, 1:30PM - 5:30PM

Position Overview

As a Dental Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting the care team by assisting with treatments, supporting the office operations, and ensuring excellent patient experiences. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist during procedures
  • Welcome and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models
  • Ensure infection control, maintain confidentiality, follow regulations
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintain CPR certification
Qualifications
  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or at least 1 year of on-the-job experience
  • X-Ray certification in FL
  • Nitrous Oxide certification (highly recommended)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to travel to other Florida Dental Center offices (travel reimbursement included)

Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
