Job summary

Western Dental, part of Sonrava Health, seeks a Dental Assistant focused on patient care and exemplary chair-side service. You will assist doctors, take radiographs, and maintain a clean, efficient operatory to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will educate patients, coordinate with front-office staff, and help maintain supplies while upholding HIPAA and safety standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current radiography certification required.
• Dental Assistant certification, as required by state, or ability to become certified.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia certification preferred.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with expert chair-side manner and prioritize patient comfort.
• Take direction from the doctor and hygienists, assist with procedures, and anticipate needs.
• Take, develop and mount radiographs of high quality.
• Prepare sterilized operatory and equipment for patient appointments.
• Educate patients and address questions to ensure understanding.
• Collaborate with doctors, hygienists, and staff to maintain excellent patient flow.
• Assist front office with scheduling and lab case tracking to ensure timely results.
• Monitor supplies and assist in inventory using approved formulary.
• Promote Sonrava-supported services and retail products.
