Qualifications

• 6 months or more of orthodontic experience or completion of a dental assisting program
• X-ray certification
• BLS certification
• Time management, confidentiality, teamwork

Responsibilities

• Chair-side assist the doctor by passing instruments and assisting during examinations or procedures.
• Take intra-oral x-rays and impressions for orthodontic procedures.
• Place, change and remove elastic separators, arch wires, brackets and ligature ties.
• Deliver aligners, attachments, and adjusted retainers and braces as needed.
• Prepare trays, set up and cleanup for procedures and maintain sterilization protocols.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed and coordinate with front desk to keep the schedule on time.
