Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking a dynamic Dental Assistant to support a traveling team across Florida offices. You will assist dentists, prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and educate patients while ensuring a smooth workflow.

This role requires mobility between Miami, Miramar, North Dade, and Pembroke Pines offices, with mileage reimbursement provided. EFDA and CPR certifications are preferred, and we offer training for the right candidate.

This is a traveling position that requires working between the following offices:

• Dadeland: 7300 N Kendall Dr #110, Miami, FL 33156
• Miramar: 2905 SW 160th Ave, Miramar, FL 33027
• North Dade: 17301 NW 27th Ave, Miami Gardens, FL 33056
• Pembroke Pines (home office): 140 S University Dr, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025

Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Requirements

Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below.

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
• Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
