Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic practice. This position travels between our Boynton Beach and Coral Springs offices, with hours Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and mileage reimbursement provided.

You will assist the dental team, prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, educate patients on oral hygiene, support dentists during procedures, and manage appointment scheduling and patient records under supervision.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education preferred; training available.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with dental software is a plus.

This part-time role is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and requires travel between the following locations:

• Boynton Beach 930 N Congress Avenue, Suite 200 Boynton Beach, FL 33426
• Coral Springs – Atlantic Blvd 9601 W Atlantic Boulevard Coral Springs, FL 33071

Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Requirements

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
• Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
