Job summary

StoryPoint Group is seeking a Traveling Operations Specialist in Mid-Michigan & the Thumb. This full-time, travel-heavy role requires up to 90% travel and supports multiple service areas across communities.

You will lead, coach and coordinate staffing, resident services, dining, housekeeping, and maintenance while partnering with leaders to drive performance, ensure compliance, and elevate resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years leadership in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality management.
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards in assisted living and memory care.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to community leadership to ensure high-quality operations across all departments.
• Serve as interim coverage for key leadership roles such as Executive Director and Wellness Director during vacancies or extended absences.
• Collaborate with community leaders to implement systems and workflows that enhance operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.
• Assist with recruiting efforts by sourcing candidates, screening, interviewing, and onboarding paperwork.
• Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and conduct documentation audits.
• Partner with leadership to develop budgets, control costs, and analyze financial performance.
• Lead special initiatives, including new community openings, software implementations, and operational audits.
