Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our Homecare team. You will implement the occupational therapy plan of care and support patients to regain independence in their homes.

Travel within South Shore, Nassau and Suffolk County is required. We offer competitive pay of $45-47k, generous PTO, comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a clear mentorship program to help with documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of New Jersey.
• Must have a minimum of 2 yrs of experience.
• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, CPR.
• Home health experience is preferred; mentor support provided.

Responsibilities

• Implements the occupational therapy plan of care as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide care and treatment to patients according to physician plan and policy.
• Instructs family members and caregivers in OT techniques.
• Travel to patients' homes within territory.
• Maintain strong communication with patients, staff and management.
• Willingness to treat geriatric patients.
