Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Non Destructive Test Technician to join their Quality department. This role may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4 Technician depending on experience and requires up to 90% domestic and international travel.

The ideal candidate will possess at least a High School Diploma/GED, relevant Non Destructive Test experience, and certifications. Attractive salary range from $66,600 to $131,900 based on level.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 4 years (Level 3) or 6 years (Level 4) Non Destructive Test experience.
• Level II Certification in UT method in accordance with NAS-410.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US Govt clearance and Special Program Access.

Responsibilities

• Review routers, procedures, specifications, and instructions for completeness.
• Process parts to evaluate for processing discontinuities exceeding requirements.
• Operate and calibrate UT inspection equipment.

Skills

Ultrasonic methodology

Experience with AUSS Mobile

Experience with OMNISCAN

Experience with BondMaster

Experience with Epoch 650

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Certification in Non Destructive Inspection Disciplines

2 Year degree/certification from NDI Training Institution
