Job summary

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling MIG Welders for projects in the Milwaukee, WI area. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of $22-24/hour plus $100/day per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site.

If all hours are met, the minimum weekly earnings will be $2,140. The role focuses on MIG welding of I-beams, frames, fuel tanks and sheet metal from 10 gauge up to 1 inch, with proper positioning, clamping and inspection.

Qualifications

• Must pass weld test, competency test, math test, drug screen and physical.
• Must be able to run one bead over side without stopping.
• Must be able to read measuring devices.
• GMAW, MIG/MAG experience

Responsibilities

• MIG welding
• Weld I-beams, frames & fuel tanks in flat/overhead positions
• Weld sheet metal from 10 gauge up to 1 inch
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts
• Weld, position & secure work pieces using hoist cranes, wire & banding machines or hand-tools
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
