Actalent is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager for a contract role based in Minneapolis, MN. The candidate will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of MEP scopes across data-center projects, driving budgeting, scheduling, BIM coordination, and commissioning.

Travel and long hours are common in this mission-critical environment. The role emphasizes safety, on-time delivery, and maintaining strong client and partner relationships while managing subcontractors and closeout

Qualifications

• Experience managing MEP scopes on complex construction projects (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
• Strong background in construction and MEP engineering with ability to oversee technical aspects.
• Understanding of commissioning processes and early turnover to third-party agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of MEP scopes for complex projects.
• Oversee preconstruction activities, scope definition, and stakeholder coordination.
• Manage MEP subcontractors to ensure performance, quality, and adherence to requirements.
• Drive budgeting and cost control for MEP scopes within targets.
• Develop and monitor schedules for MEP activities to meet milestones.
• Coordinate BIM activities to support design, clash detection, and installation.
• Lead commissioning processes and hand-offs to commissioning agents.
