Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Traveler Medical Lab Scientist to support a client facility in Pittsfield, ME. The role is a 3‑month contract with potential extension, offering a weekly pay range and travel stipends as applicable.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Medical Technology or related field, MT/MLT eligibility, and at least 1 year of high‑complexity testing experience. Responsibilities include specimen processing, result reporting, QC, and compliance with CLIA/HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have solid knowledge of basic lab testing and QA/QC processes.
• Ability to work across multiple computer systems and LIS.
• Eligible for MT/MLT certification per ASCP/AMT where applicable.
• Licensure required by state; travel lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and records.
• Maintain proficiency testing records and QA documentation.
• Analyze specimens using approved procedures per SOPs.
• Review and release test results to clients or physicians.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Document QC activities, calibrations and maintenance.
