Job summary

GHX Inventory Specialist is responsible for traditional medical/surgical supplies management and 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain systems in hospital settings. The role includes accurate counting, stocking, and auditing of consumables, pharmaceuticals, implants, instruments, and other assets, with extensive travel required.

Responsibilities include data capture in the HITS program using Excel or paper sheets, reporting discrepancies, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass background check, drug test and vaccinations.
• Must be able to travel extensively across the US.
• Must possess a mobile phone for timekeeping.
• Ability to use inventory programs like HITS and Excel.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Read data for item descriptions, counts and UOM.

Responsibilities

• Accurately count inventory using the HITS program or paper sheets.
• Report count discrepancies to the Team Leader.
• Maintain competency in inventory data capture technologies.
• Assemble/disassemble and adjust inventory storage racks, carts, and shelving.
• Collaborate with teams daily and travel as required by projects.
• Follow orientation, training, and company policies.
