Our client is a leading mechanical contractor seeking experienced Mechanical Superintendents to lead field operations on large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects throughout the country.
This is a full-time traveling position for a proven mechanical field leader who is comfortable being on the road and wants the opportunity to work on larger, more complex projects while building a long-term career with a growing mechanical contractor.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading mechanical construction crews, coordinating with Project Managers and General Contractors, managing manpower, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day field operations for large-scale mechanical construction projects.
- Manage and coordinate mechanical field personnel, including Foremen, General Foremen, and craft labor.
- Develop manpower plans and coordinate labor needs with Project Management and Operations leadership.
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet established productivity goals.
- Coordinate mechanical construction activities with General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades.
- Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.
- Identify potential field issues and develop solutions before they impact schedule or cost.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the project.
- Participate in project meetings and provide field updates to project leadership.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, manpower, and other resources required for successful execution.
- Assist with project planning, sequencing, and constructability.
- Support commissioning, startup, testing, and project closeout activities.
- Build strong relationships with General Contractors, owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Mentor and develop Foremen and other field leaders.
- Maintain accountability for field productivity, quality, safety, and schedule performance.
Mechanical Systems
Candidates should have strong field experience with one or more of the following:
- HVAC

Project Experience

Qualifications
- 7+ years of mechanical construction experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Superintendent, General Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical construction means and methods.
- Proven ability to lead large field teams.
- Strong understanding of project schedules and manpower planning.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working with General Contractors and other construction trades.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex field issues and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide on a full-time basis.
- $130,000-$180,000 Base Salary, depending on experience

Travel Requirement
This is a full-time traveling position. Candidates should be comfortable working on projects throughout the country and spending extended periods away from home.
